Sheree S. Stomberg
Sheree Stomberg brings over 20 years of diverse leadership experience in pre-eminent global financial services organizations. Her roles have ranged from Technology and Operations to Strategic Planning, Mergers and Acquisitions, Structured Lending and Credit Risk. In building global businesses, she has created product and delivery capabilities in over 90 countries around the globe for businesses ranging from $3 billion to $10 billion in revenues.
Ms. Stomberg is currently a Managing Director and member of Citi’s Operations & Technology Operating Committee. In 2010 she became the Global Head of Citi Shared Services, which includes Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, Employee Services and Information Solutions. Additionally, Ms. Stomberg is responsible for Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures, including implementation of the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Joint Venture, COE Strategy and Software Asset Management.
From 2005 to 2010 Ms. Stomberg was the Head of Operations & Technology for Citi’s Global Wealth Management business. This included Smith Barney, as well as Citi’s Private Bank and its Emerging Affluent Business. In this role she had responsibility for developing investment, credit and other product capabilities, and for globalizing operations and technology.
From 2001 through 2005, Ms. Stomberg served as a member of the Senior Management Team and Head of Global Technology for Citi’s Cash and Trade businesses. She developed and brought to market the pre-eminent internet-based Cash Management and Trade platform in over 90 countries and in 22 languages. This doubled the client base by capturing 17,000 new corporate clients around the globe and won numerous awards, including Global Finance Magazine’s “Best Internet Bank of the Year Award” for four consecutive years.
Prior to Citi, Ms. Stomberg held various business management positions at UBS. She serves on the Global Board of Directors of The Hunger Project. She chairs its Governance, Nominating, and Human Resources Committee, and as one of THP's leading supporters, has launched strategic initiatives to expand support among both individuals and corporations.
